James J. Gallagher Award

What is it?

The James J. Gallagher Award is presented each year to 2 members of the FPG Child Development Institute for their exemplary attitude and commitment to the FPG community. Gallagher Award candidates demonstrate a willingness to perform above and beyond the call of duty and enhance the climate of FPG in general.

Who is eligible?

Permanent, full-time employees are eligible for this award. Previous award recipients become eligible again five years after winning an award.

Eligibility notes:

  • Students and temporary employees are NOT eligible, but they are encouraged to make a nomination.
  • Award winners are NOT eligible for four years following an award, but they are encouraged to make a nomination.
  • Members of the nomination committee are NOT eligible for the award and should NOT make nominations.
  • The 2012 committee members are former winners Jennifer Baucom, Jomar Miller, Gary Martin, Cathy Starks.

Nominations for 2011 were accepted through Friday September 16th.

Awards were presented at the FPG Annual Meeting on October 10, 2011.
