FPG News

Please note that, as of Tues, May 1 pm, the URL for the FPG Portal has changed from www.fpg.unc.edu/portal to www1.fpg.unc.edu/portal. If you have the Portal set as the default page in your browser you will want to make this change.
You are likely to find some areas of the Portal unavailable or not working correctly. If you cannot find something, or something does not seem to be working, please be patient (and contact Web Services). We are doing our best to see that everything that is still relevant, following the launch of the new main FPG Institute site, will be available very soon.

Research and Ethics: Multiple Perspectives

Wendell Fortson will lead us in a discussion on ethical issues related to informed consent, confidentiality and the broader issues of researcher-research participant relationships. Wendell has planned an engaging hour of presentation and discussion, based on his multiple perspectives as a biomedical researcher, legal scholar, African-American, and using the best-selling book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot as a case example.
